Inspection & Assessment

The technician examines the dent using special LED reflection lights or boards. They check: Depth and size of dent Paint condition (must be intact) Accessibility behind the panel

Gaining Access

To fix the dent, access is needed from behind the panel. This may involve removing: Door panels Headliners Tail lights or trims

Dent Removal

Two main methods are used: 🔹 Pushing Method Specialized metal rods are used to gently push the dent out from behind. 🔹 Pulling Method If backside access is limited: Glue tabs are attached to the dent A pulling tool lifts the dent outward

🎯

Fine Tuning

Small high spots are tapped down using knockdown tools. The technician blends the area to match the surrounding texture (called orange peel finish).

Final Inspection

Final checks are done under reflection lights. Light polishing may be applied for a perfect finish.
